Kim Marie Ross Sleep Glorious Sleep!  After a lifetime of insomnia an answer to my prayers.

To say I have been an insomniac my entire life would be far from an exaggeration. Maybe you can relate?   I can truly remember back to age 3 or 4 laying in bed every night trying to fall asleep.  I have tried many things through the years and hated every single one of them.  It either had the opposite effect (wired me up!) or left me feeling completely cloudy the entire next day.

This insomnia problem seems to plague a large part my family and extended family (on my Dad’s side).

When I did the ENIVA detox now 90 days ago, I had no idea that my goal to lose the extra menopause weight (7 lbs) would lead to so many other benefits.  From weight loss to skin, hair, nails, reset of my metabolism to SLEEP GLORIOUS SLEEP!  Answer to my many prayers.  Please God….help me fall asleep and stay asleep for more than 2 hours in a row!

I take ENIVA Vitamin D (2 dropper full a day), one ounce of Cal Mag & Cell Ready in the afternoon (I mix in 40 ounces of water to get my water in! I love the taste) and another ounce of Cal Mag in  water about 90 mins. before bed. (See information about these important minerals below)

If you have sleep issues…give this a try!  It is affordable!  This is not a multi-level marking company whereas sometimes the price of the products can be just too far out of reach for the budget.  ENIVA has been working with hospitals and clinics as well as with consumers like me and you for over 20 years.

It has been 90 days since I was introduced to ENIVA.  The changes that I have experience are huge, but getting (GOOD!)  sleep is life changing!  This could be life changing for you too!  Worth the small investment to try it.  Give it one week.  Reach out and let me know how it goes.  PM me at 3X3 FIT Facebook page.

I highly recommend ENIVA Vit D, Cal Mag & Cell Ready as part of your weekly regime if sleep eludes you.  They are packed with both (pure and absorbable) Calcium and Magnesium.

Calcium and Magnesium
In addition to creating a diet in calcium- and magnesium-rich foods, these minerals can also be effective in supplement form. Taking these together in a 2:1 ratio (calcium: magnesium) can help the body prepare for sleep, and also guard against the deficiencies of these important minerals that have been linked to sleep disorders.

Vitamin D
This supplement has made plenty of news in recent years, with much discussion of how deficiencies in Vitamin D can lead to depression, weight problems and difficulties with sleep. This recent study of veterans suffering from both chronic pain and Vitamin D deficiency found that Vitamin D supplements led to both reduction in pain, and improvement to sleep and to the veterans’ sense of well being.

How Magnesium Can Help You Sleep

Many people have trouble sleeping, and breaking the cycle of insomnia can be hard.

You can try changing your sleep routine and curbing your caffeine intake, but sometimes these lifestyle interventions fall short.

Supplements are another popular option. One supplement that’s gained some attention as a potential sleep aid is magnesium.

This mineral has wide-ranging effects in the body and may influence some of the processes that promote sleep.

Read on to learn the connection between magnesium and a good night’s sleep.

What Is Magnesium?

Magnesium is one of the most common minerals on earth and is present in many foods (123).

It’s essential for human health and is used in over 600 cellular reactions throughout your body (3).

In fact, every cell and organ need this mineral to function properly. It contributes to bone health, as well as proper brain, heart and muscle function (3).

Magnesium supplements have been linked to a number of benefits, including fighting inflammation, relieving constipation and lowering blood pressure (45).

In addition, magnesium may help treat sleep problems.

Many types of magnesium supplements are available. These include magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride.

SUMMARY:Magnesium is an important mineral that is necessary for overall health. Benefits of these supplements range from fighting inflammation and lowering blood pressure to possibly improving sleep.

It Can Help Your Body and Brain Relax

In order to fall asleep and stay asleep, your body and brain need to relax.

On a chemical level, magnesium aids this process by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, the system responsible for getting you calm and relaxed (6).

First, magnesium regulates neurotransmitters, which send signals throughout the nervous system and brain.

It also regulates the hormone melatonin, which guides sleep-wake cycles in your body (7).

Second, this mineral binds to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors. GABA is the neurotransmitter responsible for quieting down nerve activity. It is the same neurotransmitter used by sleep drugs like Ambien (89).

By helping to quiet the nervous system, magnesium may help prepare your body and mind for sleep.
